The Digital Nigeria International Conference 2025 returned with purpose and energy. From November 11 to 13, leaders across Nigeria’s technology, startup, and innovation sectors came together to shape Africa’s digital future. The conversations were bold, the showcases were inspiring, and the focus on national growth was clear.
Yet one message stood above everything else: Digital Nigeria Mental Health must remain at the center of Africa’s digital transformation.
Why Mental Health Must Stand Beside Technology
During the conference, many people still treated mental health and technology as two separate worlds. However, the conversations reminded us that the future of technology in Africa must also include mental health. Sessions on innovation, artificial intelligence, and digital infrastructure made one truth clear: technology loses value when the people behind it struggle.
As innovators, policymakers, and industry leaders reimagined Nigeria’s digital landscape, we took a firm stand. We are working to bridge mental health and technology. Real progress cares for innovation and for the individuals who build it.
Africa is building a smarter digital future. We are ensuring that mental wellness remains part of national development.
The 112 Helpline: A Digital Lifeline That Saves Lives
The conference also reminded us of an achievement we are proud of — the launch of Nigeria’s largest Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Helpline, 112.
We launched this service in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Health and the Nigerian Communications Commission. The goal is simple: help anyone in emotional distress reach a trained responder quickly.
Every day, this helpline offers connection, comfort, and hope. This is digital innovation that puts people first.
New Digital Tools for Mental Wellness
Our mission continues. We are developing new digital tools that make therapy, emotional support, and mental health education more accessible. These platforms will break barriers, expand access, and help individuals care for their mental health in real time.
We look forward to revealing these tools soon.
Two Free Resources We Launched at Our Booth
While engaging participants at our booth, we introduced two free digital assessments designed to help individuals and organisations understand their mental wellness:
1. Personal Wellness Check (Free Tool)
A quick self-assessment that helps you understand your emotional, physical, and mental wellbeing.
👉 Personal Wellness Check
2. Organization Wellness Check (Free Tool)
A simple assessment that helps teams measure workplace wellbeing, stress levels, and organizational resilience.
👉 Organisation Wellness Check
After you submit your assessment, you will receive a summary of your results and next steps.
These tools reflect what we represent: accessible, practical, and tech-powered mental health support.
We appreciate the National Information Technology Development Agency for giving us the platform to show how mental health fits into Nigeria’s digital evolution. As the conference ends, our commitment remains the same. We will continue building a future where technology strengthens resilience, reduces suffering, and supports healing.
