We are excited to have hosted our Maiden Edition Mental health symposium on 26th November 2022, in collaboration with the OMYV-Network, supported by Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) Nigeria.
The event involved a series of interesting activities; watching a documentary on suicide and mental healthcare in Nigeria, panel discussions with diverse speakers including religious leaders, and a debate session on (biomedical or sociocultural models of treating mental illness).
We had the keynote speeches delivered by Ms. Juliana Anosike for the Country Representative of FES Nigeria And by Dr. Tunde Ojo, the National Mental Health Program Coordinator, Federal Ministry of Health.
